    Children draw, write and wonder in their own journal, building a keepsake of everything they’ve discovered.

What ages is Volume One for?

It’s designed for all ages to use together. Each adventure stretches to meet every child, so a five-year-old and a twelve-year-old can explore the same page and each find their own depth.

What’s included in the Family Set?

The Volume One parent guide and one children’s journal, covering 25 adventures across five themes: Wonder & Why, People of the World, Brave & Brilliant, The Art of Seeing, and Nature & Our Planet. Every adventure also has a free online resource page with read-alouds, videos and activities to take it further.

Can I use it with more than one child?

Yes, that’s what it was made for. The whole family learns from the one parent guide, and each child can have their own journal. Add the Family Set to your basket and every extra children’s journal is £7 off, so £15.99 instead of £22.99. The discount is applied automatically.

Do I need teaching experience?

Not at all. Each adventure opens with a big question and a story to read together from the parent guide, which walks you through everything, so you can explore alongside your child.

Do we need to follow the adventures in order?

No. Every adventure stands on its own, so you can follow whatever your family is curious about. There’s no set day and no set order.

How long does each adventure take?

As long as it holds your family’s interest. Spend an afternoon on one or a whole week. There’s no pressure to finish everything, so choose the parts that spark wonder and let the conversation grow.

Do I need any extra materials?

Mostly curiosity and conversation. The activities are designed for home, using everyday things like paper, pencils and colouring materials, and the parent guide lists what you’ll need for each adventure.

Does it follow the National Curriculum?

The Wonder Curriculum is wonder-led rather than tied to the National Curriculum, and covers science, nature, history, art and the wider world. Read more in Do you have to follow the National Curriculum?

How much is delivery, and how long does it take?

Delivery is free on all UK orders. We send every order by registered post, and it takes 3–5 days to arrive. If you’re ordering from outside the UK, you’ll see the shipping cost in your basket before you pay.

Can I return the books?

Yes. If you change your mind, let us know within 14 days of your order arriving, then send the books back within 14 days of telling us. We’ll refund you in full once they’re back with us. Please keep them unused: if the journal has been written in, we may reduce the refund. If your books arrive damaged, send us a photo and we’ll replace or refund them and cover the postage. Read our returns policy.

How does this fit with the Wonder Family subscriptions?
